The lashes are extreme, mostly bc it IS pretty inhumane. The slap was good enough bc it clearly instilled some fear in her. But the lashes are also not even worth it bc they’re clearly not getting through to the maid mentally AND now FL just looks even more cruel to the rest of the staff, who she needs on her side. She’s convinced her only job is to produce an heir, but she needs to unlearn the entire way she was raised and her entire outlook on others, it seems

I don’t understand why everyone is so empathic towards the female lead (I’m very early in the manga) while I understand the maid was being a bitch and deserved that slap, it’s so obvious that the husband is not having an affair and the FL is being extremely harsh and tbh, even annoying. If I was her husband, I’d have never married her to begin with.
You’ve all read manhwas right? It’s a common trope but the ML is always loyal in the end. He never answered her about the affair because he finds its nonsensical like “how can she even think that?” He doesn’t owe her an explanation after the way she accused him without even asking him first. I really want someone to put FL in her place. Sorry, not sorry.

I…don’t think Zachary has another woman, FL probably misunderstood how he perfectly memorized her dowry. Who knows! Maybe he memorized it to remember how much value FL is and should be treated well= Luxury of her choice.
