So basically he’s been a piece of crap since he was a kid, not surprising. And there aren’t enough gifts in the world to make up for repeatedly raping someone and getting them pregnant! She’s too immature and easily manipulated to be anywhere NEAR him, she’s too easy to coerce and he well knows that. She has the mentality of a child. She should take that other woman’s advice and stay single, just because your rapist starts suddenly being nice to you does NOT make them a good person! If he was an ordinary person he’d be in jail or executed but he gets a free pass because of his looks and title. If he has any remnants of dignity left, he wouldn’t be trying to impress his rape victim because he’s be too disgusted with himself, but he doesn’t care because his lust and obsession are too strong and she’s so completely naive and gullible that she’s secretly hoping that they get together for real. I HATE stories like this, the victim never escapes and never has any character development because then they would have to make it to where she leaves her tormentor and doesn’t go back to him in the end and they don’t wanna do that, so she has to constantly remain a stagnant pushover for the plot to work
