To be fair, the actual argument here is to release the information to the empire saying the Crown Prince possessed a dark object that could have killed the entire empire. He has literally no leg to stand on to yell at them, if they don’t take advantage of that in any way, shit or form, I’ll be extremely disappointed in this story.
