Obviously the guy who was dismissed was forced to by the conspiring aristocrats; a literal mirror of the corrupt maid from earlier.
So why do these stories NEVER have a similarly wronged character conspire against the evil side? The ones who doubtlessly have impacted many more people negatively and should have plenty of enemies.
Instead we only ever get these minor sub-villains dicking about trying to meddle with the protagonists. Very unoriginal writing…
