Ah yes, the typical stupid writing.
She’s very obviously attracted to this guy, but somehow can’t tell? Ridiculous. You can’t just “not know” if you find someone attractive.
And the evil characters being evil for no logical benefit; a classic trope! Maybe they could be given some depth as characters instead? No? Of course not, I’m expecting too much…

I think in the context of this story it makes sense she would feel confused In her feelings for him, given that she hasn’t experienced any type of regular love, or affection, she was married off into an unloving marrige, and most likely Is unfamiliar with love in that way, and I think it’s less not knowing she’s attracted to him more of an unfamiliar feeling, and denying due to feeling unworthy of him, I can agree it’s a plot over done and it’s always nice to have a more indepth and impactful character or romance or story, but I think with this story it makes more sense based on her life and past events that she would react in a way of unfamiliarity and straight up being aloof to it.
