OK now that it’s all in the air basically I just want to know why the father (and his son to some extent) planned all of this. The new reigen is illegitimate sure, but the purpose for house Bellua’s treason was to put Lariette on the throne. But these ambitious were not of her own free will. So what was the end game if it all worked out for Bellua? Aside from marrying off their son to the last true throne heir. Wouldn’t Lariette have pushed against it?

Her father and brother are terrible! Lying over and over, even after she told them about her past. They took advantage of her trust! The mom at least seemed to accept that she was her own person and could make her own decisions somewhat, but she still didn’t tell her the truth! Did they really cherish her, or cherish her as a tool they could use?
