I’m glad she felt otherwise.
She was such a strong person before the death of her people so of course distress would make her want to repent for her sins of not protecting her people.
However like he said that’s too shallow, hearing someone tell me I don’t need to die, that I am not at fault and that I should remember what the people who I cared for wanted would make me rethink everything. Especially so if I am a strong will person like this MC.
I can’t say the same for everyone but that’s my take.
