Does no decent person here understand that claude wanted forget em bcz of the overwhelming love he had for diana? He lost her, the only person he loved so deeplyso ofc he couldnt bear the pain of losing them and so he wanted to forget the emotions to not feel that pain he felt to lose diana. Even if what he did ( neglecting his own child) was wrong, he had his reasons. He might have thought that athy in some way did make diana die bcz of the labor. So he rlly loved them but he pain is too huge. UNDERTAND HIS LOVE NOW?!
