so her mother died of hypothermia from leaving the window open? and how did her stepsister find the dress in Ellen’s closet, but not the one standing in the middle of her room? how did she even have time and supplies to make that thing? still, the premise is interesting enough. i’m especially tickled by the Duke of Bayern, seeing as I used to live in real-life Bayern many years ago

I had a lot of the same thoughts, but in addition to “Death by open window”, I find it hilarious that the funeral was evidently held on a beach out in the tide. Did they just let the tide wash the coffin away? Did the coffin and the mom’s corpse wash up slightly further down the beach?
Also, FL is referred to as both the daughter of a Baron and of a Marquess. Was her mom a Marquessa? What happened to the title that her father is still just a Baron? Or was one of those a mistranslation?
I laughed at the maid cursing FL to have a bad breakup. What a strange way to respond to someone’s mom attacking you.
