I’ve read the novel. She’s a full grown adult. The manga doesn’t really mention it but she’s so small because she wasn’t really eating or taking care of herself. She still on the small side but she gets a bit bigger and healthier once the warriors move in and take care of her.

Update: the novel confirms that she is in her 30s. Animorphs age slower than regular humans in this world and live longer.
