   I don’t know why it should be such a big deal, from at least the way the story has made it seem. Story has made it seem as if she is the arch duchess’s daughter, who is an elementalist. Shadie Is most likely some type of dark elemental that she made a pact with as a kid (and doesn’t remember). This shouldn’t be a problem, unless of course this is some kind of stupid world that doesn’t understand that there should be spirits of every kind, and somehow automatically labels dark spirits as evil
