She did try to save her dad though but it was too late by the time she brought him someplace secluded where no one can see her do it. And for the guy who just saved your life I’d say it’s pretty easy to see why she wants to save/ help her savior/ helper especially since no one’s around to see it happen so quickly (the ppl in the boat don’t seem to know what she did maybe it’s cause they were far or too busy rowing the boat)
