I know why mahnwa always do this whole “I know you weren’t acting of your own free will but I’ll never forgive you” thing to make the mc seem like they have more of a backbone but it feels incredibly forced for someone like Siena who we always see being compassionate and thoughtful. They are literally victims of the same manipulations that she was. Setting a boundary of ‘I have trouble trusting you with my emotions because of the trauma I have faced in the past’ is an appropriate response, but her response to them here feels willfully ignorant and cruel.
