Okay, okay, so I think (just a guess) that it was the blonde sister who put the token she made the oldest brother in the last life on the floor, bc I remember Siena saying (or maybe the sister told her) to go clean his room, So i think she wanted Siena to think he threw it away. As for him saying her efforts were useless, I think maybe he meant something along the lines of “Why are you trying so hard, you’re already a member of this family” but he’s just awkward. It’s a stretch but I feel like that’s where the story is headed. Obviously we only see the events of the past through Siena’s mindset and interpretation so it’s easy to misunderstand others intentions. TLDR: I think everything was a big misunderstanding that just got even worse because of the crazy blonde sister
