you should read a different book if you get irritated so easily. there are many books that will fit your preferences, just stop reading the ones you don’t like.
I get why she is thinking like this though, she was verbally abused bij the family even though they brought her in. Now she has been put back in that life with the same people, you can’t expect from her to trust them
i can’t think of her as annnoying… at one point i was like ‘she can’t stand kindness, she’d prefer being mistreated, but when the tutor mistreated her she was angry’, but that’s just normal. she was betrayed and died, and when she thought it was all over she came back to life. that’s traumatic and it wouldn’t always make for a strong character — immediately at least. betrayed fl’s can’t always be cunning and vengeful. there’s a genre for that, and i don’t think it’s this 🙂 i just hope FL heals and becomes comfortable with being treated well, she deserves it <3

Oh I was wondering how she would get it into her head that she needs to touch the jem and unalive. It seems she is horrified at the fact that she is now a member of her abusers family. I wouldn’t want to be family with people who treated me like they did in her last life. Trauma really is a sad thing that ruins everything.
