i mean ofc, youll misinterpret a relationship even tho the two people related on the said relationship denied it. ex: imagine ure in the school and saw ur classmate having conversation, laughing, etc. just the two of them, doing something a couple would likely to do, ofc youll assume that theres something going on between them, even if they said that ‘theyre just friends.’

I interpreted this too. he did constantly say that he saw Lysia as a sister, so maybe it’s no different than how he viewed Aubrey since he had no doubt watched them grow up in the duchy. I think Tia misinterpreted things bc she wasn’t good at social cues being sheltered by her family and all that

I also remember him saying that he treats Lysia as a dear sister. I think same with Aubrey. Else, why he did not pursued her even before? Also there is no romantic comment that Lysia mentioned to her aunt. It’s like he is cold before than today. So it is clear they are not inlove with each other even before.
