My guess would be is that — she actually poisoned him in the “previous” life, as it would somehow help to remove Duke Evron as a threat to her brother. He’s one of his closest aides, so that could be natural.

ehh If it was all 18 years ago, that means Tia was already born, which means lawrence would’ve been a toddler/young boy. Considering we know that the Marchioness had the other heirs to the Rozan estate murdered, Its plausible that she’d have the other heirs to the throne murdered to leave lawrence as the only son of the emperor.
