how crazy for her to be treated like that as a child despite being the “legitimate” daughter. I don’t think her mom’s cruel yet though, I mean she was likely pressured into the affair by her husband and the emperor, and now that she has a son it really does matter that he become the emperor to keep her safe. too bad the brother sucks.
