The ridiculous catch 22 of if he knew that his granddaughter was trying to make up to her and that’s the only thing she cared about, but that he’s planning on taking them down so she can live longer. It means that the only way he can prolong her life is to destroy the only thing she cares about…(It honestly sets a very interesting future development possibly)
