@Plabby I don’t think anyone knew how much Dorothea was suffering in her first life. It sounds like she was always lashing out and causing trouble, so no one had a good impression of her.
I think if she had been kinder, or putting up a kind front like now, then things would have been different. Theon would have seen her as a love interest sooner; maybe we’ll have a chapter where it turns out he and Julia really were just friends, and she was trying to help him escape Dorothea.

You can’t blame a child for reacting to abuse. There’s no “if she had..” everyone saw how poorly the emperor treated her. There was no way not to see it. She only started being violent after she had tried to prove herself.

Highkey I’d rather her with the white haired boy cuz at least he was with her in her past life and they share the same experience as kids or at least introduce a new ml, someone like stefan or that red haired commoner. I also don’t like how the brother just don’t understand what’s going on like ur sis is in pain boy!! And it’s cuz I’d ur dad!! I hope the dad regrets it all.

Her brother is much worse imho, he’s so completely fking clueless and Insensitive that it makes me vomit he claims to care? But he’s just a kid he thinks something simple like playing and being attentive is helpful! Well it fking isn’t… It’s like running salt on open wounds and what he does in ignorance makes the burn worse.

I think it’s important for everyone to remember that we have only seen things from Dorothy’s pov. Maybe Julia was just a good friend in the previous life and Theon decided to marry her because he needed an archduchess. Dorothy was also only known to lash out. No one knew of her achievements. Her father most likely hide it the same way he tried to hide that she was kidnapped. All he knew is that she had a bad track record and she killed his friend.
Maybe Ray had tried to talk to his father and that didn’t work so he decided to fill Dorothy with all the love she never got from their father. A lot of things that we “know” comes from Dorothy’s assumptions. Just how Dorothy is just now realizing that she wasn’t able to kill Ray based off her skills but because of his care for her instead. I’m sure she even forgot she cried when she killed him and that his last words were words of comfort for her. There’s a lot we don’t actually know so we can’t make assumptions about anyone accept for the emperor.
