Kaia was a child. According to me she was 5 years old . And she was separated from her parents has to learn something do cruel the war and death and had to die into the poor tarzias hand who was good to her . The king is at fault . The power he was to obsessed with lead him to destroy the life round him and he doesn’t have any ounces of shame when he was laughing in front of kaia . He was happy while kaia was crying out of scares she killed people when she was little. Jyst because if she listens the king will let her meet her parents and also release them but then she realize she was deceived by the king . And every one was blaming her . The Southern and northern as if she was born to uphold their sin. How cruel .
