Wow and I was actually starting to like him until he showed his true colors, that “proposal” turned into a COMMAND real quick. Yet another story of a man trying to take advantage of a woman’s unfortunate circumstances to trap her into marriage, then make it seem like he doing HER a favor out of the goodness of his heart; just wants her to be trapped in a loveless marriage and be some trophy wife. Good for her for refusing, hopefully she won’t change her mind down the road

Sometimes I read the comments of these romance novels, and I think to myself “Why do people read these if they are going to get upset about the plot?” I’m really sorry, but she will probably change her mind. I don’t think the plot will change. I don’t think we should be competing fantasy with reality if we want to have fun reading it. Do people read this stuff because they like to be mad? I guess I get it.

And why you read a comic or a book, see a movie and such if not to “stimulate” something? Especially with idiot like this “father” of her and other character, the word emotion don’t have only bright side and people read a story for “emotion” good or bad. It’s not because it’s a story you can’t enrage or be happy lol and no one here it’s so idiot to not recognize fiction from reality, but you know, idiot like those character in this comic, are based on real life model rofl. So, in the end, people read this to enjoy and be immerse with a story, sympathize, hate, love the character, i say, why read something if you don’t empatize?

I don’t want to throw insults but you can probably guess what I would say for these types of people.
People read this type of stories then completely forget the timeline where the story is set in.
Women didn’t have freedom as they have it nowadays so projecting modern values to how it was in the past is completely st*pid and meaningless.
And for this story, regardless of the ML behavior, he is still respectful towards her and actually listens to her opinions. It is FL behavior that confuses him and her not thinking straight because she can’t separate the guy from who he is currently from who he is supposed to be in the future/her past life.
Plus, she already changed the future so if she is destined to marry him, try to influence as much as possible to actually save the family because there are probably other forces that tried to destroy them then just war itself.
I have a feeling that even his sister is manipulated by her lover.
Don’t forget that back in the day people were poisoned by ideologies in the same way as we are witnessing nowadays. So it is possible that her lover who is a socialist is trying to destroy her family because they are nobles.
People don’t understand that destruction of nobility was the main reason on why WW1 happen, and eventually WW2 to completely remove them even from eastern Europe.

Listen to me, there is about to be a flashback next Chapter, 13; it will last until about Chapter 19 where the end picks up at the present.
If you are like me and don’t like nonsense like that, skip to Chapter 20. Otherwise, it’ll be mostly backstory stuff really unnecessary due knowing how she already died and clues to how he was in the previous life.
I personally thought it was a waste of time, but others might enjoy the upcoming world building
