i almost agree but she would have less breathing room if she did unfortunately…
based on her past life as soon as he died she became the new emperor and as a result she was SWAMPED with work. she wouldnt be able to watch the witch as closely or teach the prince properly…
the emperor as of now is basically a shield, a clunky thorny tedious one but a shield nonetheless. Why do you think the witch killed him off first? bc once he dies a power vaccum will need to be filled which she’ll use her puppet (fl hopefully soon to be ex fiance) to do so.
since she doesnt have the power to control too many people at once without hurting herself a coup is the best option for her in order to gain power without using too much of the power harming her health (basically since she cant control the emperor for some reason, probably bc she cant touch the emperor carelessly as a mere noble or smth, she decided to replace him with someone she is controlling to reach her goals.
