Everyone responded well but I wanted to add that the inconvenience, embarrassment, and frustration you feel is what Meltia would be feeling too.
Her dad’s reaction would only further ingrain the habit she uses as a form of protection and affirm to her why she SHOULD be afraid.
Honestly I think her experience with Artle will be what helps her get past it.

people aren’t obligated to cater to you and your traumas but the least anyone can do as a fellow person is not confront someone. Like have you tried just asking? Or, if you cant, minding your own business?
