The emotion behind this makes me want to cry for Damian and for the Duke. As awful as the Duke may be, he can’t come out and tell the woman he loves that he’s happy to have a son and has to resort to playing this “game” to get to know/spend time with his son. And poor Damian just wants a loving father and a happy home which is never too much for any child to hope for.

the reason why i’m still reading cuz i wanna find out if she’s gonna run away again. Minus level sympathy for the duke. This is a ‘stockholm syndrome’ with self-centered guy glossed over with ‘love’ i could write a long a** paragraph talking abt how BS it is to call this ‘love’ 🤷♀️
and imagine how the child feels when he finds out how his father treats his mother in the past when he grows up

we all hate the Duke but who can really blame him for how he is when we also know how he was brought up. i’d probably be like him if i’m surrounded by people who likes to manipulate you, it’s scary and frustrating at the same time.

Poor Damian. I can see that the Duke is now trying to reach out to his son.. The new fiance prospect is an evil witch. For sure she will hurt or even will try to eliminate FL and your son.
