Might drop this. The characters are childish and immature 😭 not only the fl but also the brother (and Seren his fiance). If we follow the ‘original plot’, what kind of people who loves each other would get misunderstanding for 2+ years (it took 3 years for them to get engaged but they might settle down a few months before). If the fl didn’t meddle in, it’ll surely take longer.
And why didn’t the parents get involved when their son was practically burning their house down. Why only the fl? And since their family are fire mages, don’t they have safety measures for when things turned messy? Just let any of the fire mages burn stuff? Thoughts? The brother is hopeless or not thinking at all since he started the fires which could mean that he’s not able to control his emotions well = immature.
