Their both at fault here , even if everything she did was for him , it’s true that if he never asked for it that’s your fault , which reminds me of some manwha I read back then where the father was cold with his daughter but did everything for her to be « happy », and make her empress , bc her mother died, so he wanted to do everything so she doesn’t feel the gap. But messed up , like the fl with the emperor, so I can understand his feelings. But he should never have killed the baby and her father and her too in the end. Just take a concubine , a child and divorce her. But well she already took her revenge by killing him and everyone in the weeding. So girl just call it , divorce him , be successful and him regretfull because he as nothing to claim. And live happily, instead of wasting your time. And this cousin of her , root in hell , like trashta.

We only have his word for how he allegedly felt while sleeping around with the woman he claims to actually love but still talks down to for having to reap consequences of his own actions. He even told Stella how him claiming to want ti spend even the first night with the empress was a show (which it clearly was since he thought after how it was a shame he couldn’t “try her out at least once”)

That’s a ridiculous logic that those who cheat use. They are always the “abandoned” or neglected one especially if their partner is out there working hard to get them financial stability. He lacked the fortitude to keep it in his pants and never indicated he was grateful to her protecting his life and status. He has demonstrated that he has a manipulative mind by wanting to “put on a show” to cover his lack of sincerity. And truly I was grossed out by the inner thought he wanted to try her out just once. In what way was he suffering exactly also? Boredom? He didn’t have any trouble reaping the rewards of all her efforts. If he had said, he just needed her and nothing else …alas his feelings were never sincere. He grew into a very spoiled man.
