I think he’s reading more into this than what’s actually there, I’ve never seen anything more than physical attraction between them. He’s possessive and controlling and has only ever wanted her for body and now she’s engaged to someone else and suddenly he “loves” her? I think he’s confusing that with LUST

Omg this fl writing is so annoying. No realistic person who “wants to be loved” and gets confessed to by someone she loves already would ACTUALLY TURN THEM DOWN. Plz stop this type of writing it’s so frustrating to try and enjoy!

I agree. It doesn’t make sense. I guess the angst is needed for that dramatic effect. It isn’t realistic though. What is wrong with her choosing ML? Does she absolutely need to go with the arranged marriage with the cousin? That only happened because she wasn’t picking any guy from the countless she was going on blind dates with. She hooks up with male lead, who actually likes her but goes with the cousin because it was arranged? No one even knew FL and ML were seeing each other. If the ML proposed, would there even be an issue? His family chose his cousin to propose to her because they didn’t think ML was ready for marriage, as his mother clearly stated. ML’s mother had no knowledge of FL and ML relationship. FL acting like their relationship is forbidden for some weird reason. Her brother found out, but he just assumed it was a fling and not serious, so he wasn’t happy with it. So yeah, I don’t get it. Seems like lazy writing.

No, the mother already warned her son bot to be with that girl. That was stated ib the beginning when he saw the first time at the art museum and asked his mother. She even said she’s a nice girl but them rumors though…the mother even acknowledged in her thoughts at the meeting with the grandfather that the girl didn’t grow up with love, the stepmother was bitter with betrayal, wondering what type of environment she geew up in because kf that and she didn’t want her around her son that’s why she pointed out the cousin and declined to put her son forward whic hse would’ve done anyway even if she knew they did have a relationship and she probably would’ve told him to end it still.
