Actually he would literally be dead and so would she. He doesnt CARE about power. he probably wouldve just killed himself if he could. you dont understand because you dont understand how RUTHLESS monarchies are. They will hunt him down, and if they cant find him THEY WILL find her. he cant just drop her, she will be found, held hostage, and used for negotiation purposes.

I agree, she understands why he did it but she can’t accept that he ALLOWED that kind of torture to happen to her “for her sake” and let her be miserable and forced her to live until she didn’t have a reason to anymore (the death of her second child)
