He cannot do that. First of all they are constantly after his throat whether he will claim the throne or not;his only way to be safe is to try to claim the throne. They will go after her if he divorces her because he cleary still loves her and she can be kept as a hostage for negotitation to make him kill himself or give up the throne.

I feel bad for the male lead here. He is clearly immature but loves Ross with all his heart. He is quite literally stuck in a situation he had to sacrifice his own body for as well. He has to force himself to fuck some whore so her family will be like okay! me likey! Like I get people hate men here but they literally can only do so much lol.
