THIS IS CHAPTER 11, NOT 10!
Chapter 10 is the emperor having her try various sweets/desserts to check if her sense of taste works (because he thinks her eyes might be), meanwhile Emilia thinks he’s having her taste for poison.
– Then she realises he isn’t eating what he said he would, so she wonders if the situation is somehow revenge for the knights of Valletta apparently having attacked him a lot when he first was exciled(?).
– She seems pleased by the idea, maybe thinking his “ire” against her land and people will lessen as he takes revenge on her? (And also that his revenge “tastes sweet”)
