And even worse: the ML is all for it.
Like, girl, the guy is making zero effort. Sends his subordinates to talk to you instead of inviting you, only allows you to go to the adjacent palace even though you’re doing him a BIG favor, and doesn’t even bring up this “protection” until you ask, only to tell you to have snu snu with him.

Urgh… I hate the “Glacial ML” trope…
