The first princess Ariel’s character is meant to be very hard to see through, she has a perfect poker face and does not target Alexa directly. She never directly provokes or helps alexa either. The author did a very good job at making Ariel morally ambiguous.

I feel like Ariel switches sides constantly when it comes to Alexa, like now, she just gained a good reputation for ‘helping’ her sister not be bullied but she is also constantly trying to suppress her.. Author definitely did a good job with her character.
