Wdym by “his country are known to look down on women” with the outfits that are clothes that Arabs culturally wear?!? This is highly inappropriate, racist, and rude. What was going on in the authors mind to make such a blatantly racist remark?

Right! Disappointed but not surprised. Asian media—especially Korean, Chinese, and Japanese stories like these—often exoticize middle eastern/ Indian/ african cultures and men while also portraying same said men as overly misogynistic or barbaric and the only way that differs is if he’s mixed with said race of written origin or white. It’s ironic, given the gender issues in their own cultures. Fetishizing while mocking a people is not respectful representation—it’s a harmful double standard. And the add of “She’s MY woman” and how every man has looked down on the Fl and other women so far not even comprehending their own hypocrisy is wild.
