i agree but also they arent family, so i feel like she thinks OH if i cut him out of my life, he’ll be fine eventually…
also i feel like thats sort of the point? (im not disagreeing again just adding) like part of her development as a character is growing out of her habit of pushing away her loved ones to protect them bc she’s scared of hurting them like her father did.
except with her she feels she should put herself in harms way (bc she might die soon ) and push everyone away so when she ‘inevitably’ gets into political trouble the prince is not caught in the crossfire.
