I feel like I’m reading what happened after “forever-after” a school romance story about a bad boy and a silent girl. Spoiler – nothing good. He was not ready to cope with difficulties of an adult world and also was longing emotions from her, she tried to cope with troubles for both of them and became even more emotionless.
I’m at 38 ch and I can’t regard any of them as good or evil. Unfortunately, that was just a said true story. Besides that mafia boy, obviously, this is truly a fiction.

💔 My Thoughts on “Tears on a Withered Flower”
I just finished reading “Tears on a Withered Flower,” and honestly, I have such conflicted feelings.
This Manhwa follows Na Hae-soo, a woman utterly shattered after her 13-year marriage ends with betrayal and crippling debt. The raw, gut-wrenching pain of her starting point—being completely drained and working multiple jobs just to survive—was so emotionally resonant. It captured the reality of feeling like a “withered flower.”
However, the story’s solution felt deeply problematic to me. Enter Beom Taeha, the younger, intense hero who essentially manipulates his way into her life. While the artwork is beautiful and their chemistry is undeniable, I couldn’t shake the feeling that Hae-soo was simply trading one form of control (her abusive ex-husband) for another (Taeha’s obsession and secretive wealth).
I wish the narrative had focused more on her own agency—giving her therapy, supportive female friends, or allowing her to rebuild her self-worth through professional success. Instead, the plot often reduces her healing to being solely reliant on Taeha’s intense affection.
If you enjoy a high-drama, steamy dark romance where the “savior” trope dominates, you might love this. But if you’re looking for a realistic story of empowerment where a woman truly saves herself first, be ready to analyze the plot critically. It’s an engaging read, but ultimately, I felt the resolution fell into some classic patriarchal traps.

Can anyone explain how her ex husband went from being super caring, sweet, generous and good to be such a scumbag? it is not realistic: I undestand he gave up everything for her, I understand he was screwed by his best friend, I understand he desired children that didn’t arrive…but still …this huge change if character seems like a stretch to me…
