its so confusing cuz when you think about it, this version of Cesare hasnt committed the sins of his future life yet. & hes clearly veering away from that path… but hes still the same man. so hes like a walking contradiction. & even though he is currently innocent of all of his future selfs evildoings while still suffering so greatly… i cant forgive him. but i WANT to forgive him & thats partially why this character confuses me so much. there are so many conflicting potentials within him; he could become either an ally or an enemy atp.

Current Cesare is not innocent because yes his relationship with his mom is bad, but he is also a person with bad intentions too, he is not pursuing Ariadne because he loves her, he is still trying to “one up” his brother Alfonso, and this will become evident once he “gets ” Ariadne.

I never thought ceasar was bad. Sure he was awful in his past life but it’s mostly his mother to blame. Even so in the start of the Fls second life, he was just a stupid teenager so I can’t hate him. I think he wasn’t ever meant to be evil it was just the specific universe. After all this is an alternate universe so he’s an entirely different person. They are all just chances and coincidences.
