you know, he’s not entirely wrong to have a crush on Ariadne and hopes of marrying her with how the current situation is. Not great that he doesn’t like commoners for no reason other than that they haven’t “proven” themselves. I REALLY hope he doesn’t become weirdly obsessed or possessive or evil, Ariadne deserves at least one good man and woman (other than Alfonso) in her life and Camellia and Raphael are good (so far).

I’ve honestly reached the point where I’m not even really reading these chapters anymore, I’m just scrolling through them as fast as possible to kind of gleam what’s happening because I’m hoping that there’ll be some type of eventual payoff to continuing reading this story. Even though it feels like the author hates their readers more than anybody else in the world. (I mean literally the FL has never made a change at all. That has actually changed anything, and the author has let us know that it’s specifically due to the “World” continuing to make changes to force fate at every turn). I mean “The Abandoned Empress” and There Were Times I Wished You Were Dead” (which are pretty universally agreed to be trash) we’re less frustrating than this.
