I really can’t believe she fell for that. He always says all those pretty words that never translate to anything, this guy has had zero character development, all he ever does is whine like everything in his life is outside of his control when it’s not, especially when it comes to his parents. He can’t even manage to move out their house, it’s like he WANTS to be controlled by them. I will never understand what she sees in him, there are plenty of “nice guys” out there who can cherish her AND have a spine. He wants a low effort relationship (which is why he wished he could just “trap her in a can”), and we’ve seen how he acts when he doesn’t get his way
