And he’s once again having the same conversation of what their relationship was as if didn’t already know going in EXACTLY what it was. He trapped himself (and her) into a loveless marriage and he did nothing but whine about being in a loveless marriage, as if he didn’t create this entire situation for selfish motivations. It’s nice how he wanted to help her out and all, but his main motivation was getting a wife (ANY wife) who would put up with his God-awful parents without expecting him to stand up to them (i.e a DOORMAT), paying her debts was just a means to an end to achieve that; he set himself up to be hurt and disappointed
