I always am disappointed in comments like these, traumatic experiences arnt so easily overcome.
As someone with trauma myself reading stories like this makes me want to overcome my own issues, and when people say “just get over it” invalidates so much.
Yes she’s shaking, yes she’s scared, it’s reasonable. If overcoming trauma isn’t your cup of tea please return to the stories of heroines who are perfect with no issues and unrealistic getting over things

Exactly. Even IF there was no trauma, realistically a person who’s heard nothing but bad things would be scared. I guarantee you, if she wasn’t scared, everyone would be upset because she’s not acting like a real person.
