To be fair, it honestly seems like all of her sisters are ” happily” married like maybe they’re not truly fully happy, but it seems as if all of her sisters are married to non-cheating men, like that’s the bar. Her husband couldn’t even reach that bar. So does it really matter how high his status is?
It matters for the mother because she wants more wealth & power. She literally said to the oldest daughter who’s had multiple cheating husbands “so what? They can do what they want” & She said to Tatiana “a cheating husband is nothing compared to what I went through while raising my daughters alone”. She doesn’t care about her daughter’s happiness
