What Yohan said was incorrect, Job’s friends did not say that to mock him, it’s actually amazing reading Job because Job’s friends are such normal friends and though so long ago resemble modern day friends. And they care about him a lot, that’s why they are there, when they saw how he had lost everything, they joined him on the ground and wept with him. They got into an argument, and it got too heated in the moment, saying the reason he lost it all is because he angered God, but that’s actually not why (reason is in Job 1), and Job replies saying he remained faithful and that as God gives, he can also remove because Job understood the magnificence of God and actually respected him no matter what. His friends said all that to HELP HIM by giving him their advice on what they thought was happening so that he could turn his life for the better, that’s why they said IF you repent (Job 8:6): GOD WILL MAKE YOU PROSPER THOUGH YOU HAD LITTLE. But just like in every real life argument, even if you want to help and give advice you’re just throwing stones at that person, not really helping! Especially in Job’s because he is innocent and God wanted to test his faithfulness. We all have been like this to our friends, so yeah, haha sorry as a Christian I had to correct him as his interpretation might have been a bit too emotionally influenced and not the truth, which does contribute to his character’s lore and realism! I understand, LOVING the story so far
