We cannot blame her hesitation and fears. She suffered too much from her past life. Can’t imagine the trauma of being savagely killed by the king with her baby. And him still being cold with no affection to her in the end. She died lonely and unloved. The trauma she suffered is not also comparable to the war trauma her husband experienced. I do hope it is different now. She is also fear of having their child and to suffer the same fate all over. She wanted to make sure that she can prevent it.
