I’m sorry but this story is testing my suspension of disbelief. She went to court and the court proceedings found that: she is the head of the family, her husband cheated on her with someone else, and she supposedly hit the mistress. The results of this court case were that she had to give up 80% of her wealth to her adulterous husband… The story just presented these findings in less than one half a chapter and we’re supposed to just accept that that’s how it would have went. What was even the purpose of having the lawyer witness the affair? It seems like the author is ignoring all rational thought
