Sorry to say this, but the FL was being hypocrite and it even pissed me for her making excuses. If she really valued her as a friend she should had just told her the truth, it’s that easy.
“The truth is, I liked him before I became friends with you. But, after finding that you liked him as well I suppressed my feelings for him and decided to cheer you on. However, he started having feelings for me and I found about it recently, and I couldn’t contain my feelings hidden any more. I am sorry, my attention was never to deceive you, I will understand if you don’t want to be friends anymore.” <- It's easy as that, the rest would be up to her what ever she wants to forgive FL or not. And not this lame excuses she keeps whispering to her friend like a back stabbing bit***. Just saying, she is a bad friend.
