Yeah, Mellie proves that you cannot clap with one hand. She is equally responsible for her situation. I mean just imagine, 5 years into her marriage and she is still quitely tolerating the mistreatment of the servants, drinking some unknown medicine from her mother-in-law continuously without even consulting a doctor herself, not confronting any of the characters that mistreating her. So yeah, she is to blame for her situation, because there is a limit to what someone can tolerate, and if you do not change even after that, then it’s entirely your liability.
Furthermore, what i know from the Spoilers that she will later run away, right? See, she still did not confront or took her revenge from these people, just ran away! It’s really frustrating to watch a such a FL!

Nah it’s too obvious the old mother is responsible for all this… she probably hid the guidebook, and is giving her bad medicine with the opposite affect of helping her bear children, also shes probably giving her those lame advices to put more space between her and edric. PLEASE MELLIE WAKE UP
