I understand the emperor didn’t want to even hear her name or deal with her but wouldn’t it have been easier to have given her a ton of money and just exiled her until she was an adult that could work? I feel like that would’ve been easier.

Damn I think I can understand why the new emperor treated her the way he did. He was able to retreat from the palace, gather supporters, and overthrow his brother. If he let her go she might have done exactly what he did and put his children in her situation or worse. Since he wanted nothing to do with her letting her continue on with her meager existence was probably one of the more merciful things he could’ve done.

If they treated her just humanely as possible she would not think of revenge or something. These people are so afraid of losing their thrones not knowing some children just want to be cared and loved for 😭😭😭
