Well, actually a branch family is not always people with blood relation to the main family or head family, and are just people brought into the family in someway, and it seems that he was taken in by the eon family after he ran away

@RuiHerself nope, he’s allegedly a member of the branch/collateral line of her maternal family. She even specified that her grandfather isn’t his grandfather earlier, meaning that his and her most recent common ancestor must be several generations ago. Also, he is somehow a royal (King? I’m not too sure about how well translated it is, since he was called ‘highness’ by the guy, and a King is rightfully addressed as ‘magesty’ at least that’s how it works in my country) so a doubt he’s any relation to her at all.
So no, no incest, thank goodness.
