They literally said they want to have a family picnic on her birthday, and asked to push her birthday back. It would have been extremely easy to say, “Can we do the picnic on your birthday as part of your birthday”… They can’t even be bothered to lie and pretend that a family outing on her birthday could somehow be for her… Emotional abandonment is one of the worst forms of abuse because even if you experience it most times, it’s not as “extreme” as other forms of abuse and so people don’t even give you any type of sympathy, but it hurts just as much if not worse depending on duration…
